Caçela Velha

Close to the fishing town of Tavira, this tiny yet exquisite village offers the visitor some stunning coastline views from a small clifftop viewpoint.

Colourful fishing boats are dotted along the shoreline whilst the village itself offers attractive simplistically decorated terravced homes and cottages, a pretty central square by the church with a couple of local bars and restuarants offering typical Algarvian dishes. A place to come for excellent fish in an utterly no frills context.
