Tavira

A great little fishing town full of colour and vibrant with life make Tavira a spot well worth visiting.

The town is also locally known as the "town of the steeples" as it is reputed to hold over 100 churches within its relatively small area.

The river running through the centre of town before filtering out into the sea, is a photogenic scene of colourful riverside buildings, blue water, clear skies and other architectural detail. A small promenenade runs down one side often host to markets and festivals.
